Paris Saint-Germain young forward Desiree Doye has achieved a rare milestone in Champions League history at the age of 20. He lifted his second Champions League trophy in a win over Arsenal in Budapest. Notably, Doye became the first player to win two titles and start in both finals before his 21st birthday.
Doye was visibly emotional after the final against Arsenal. Paris Saint-Germain, who won the title last year with a huge victory (5-0), this time went to the penalty shootout to successfully defend the European crown.
"I'm speechless," Doye said. "The first one is fantastic, but the second one is what we wanted more than anything else. I love this club so much."
He also clarified that the anxiety will not stop there. "It won't end here. We will work hard; we also want to win a third Champions League in a row," Doye said of his aim.
With this victory, Paris Saint-Germain continued their dominance on the European stage, while Desiree Doye also made a rare personal history.
