Mikel Oyarzabal sets new World Cup record: Spain star breaks 92-year-old mark
Spain forward Mikel Oyarzabal made history by becoming the first player to score a brace at international level for Furia Rokha, scoring twice in 24 minutes in the World Cup 2026 match against Saudi Arabia.

With this, Oyarzabal surpassed the record held by José Irarragori, who scored a brace in 25 minutes against Brazil in 1934. Moreover, Oyarsabal also became the second player to score three assists (goal or assist) in the first 25 minutes of the World Cup. Before this, Hungary's László Fazekas achieved the same feat with one goal and two assists against Salvador in 1982.
